Jessica Vaiana

Education:
Jessica is a graduate of the University of Texas where she earned her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Kinesiology. She also earned her Master’s degree from Texas in the world-renowned Exercise Science department specializing in sports psychology. While at Texas, Jessica had the privilege of studying under the direction of John Bartholomew, a nationally recognized sports psychologist, and John Ivy, the creator of PureSport Performance Sports Drink. Upon graduating for the first time from Texas, Jessica accepted an invitation from Logan Schwartz, currently assistant strength and conditioning coach to Todd Wright for University of Texas men’s and women’s basketball, to intern at Train 4 The Game. From her first day, Jessica could tell that Train 4 The Game was something special. The training system, the atmosphere, the team, all aspects were unique and inspiring. In May of 2007, she accepted a position as a performance coach and has not looked back.
Training:
Jessica is a certified personal trainer and a member of the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She is a student of the training and conditioning system developed by world famous physical therapist Gary Gray, known as the “Father of Function.” As a performance coach at Train 4 The Game, she is dedicated to continuously expanding her knowledge about prehabilitation, rehabilitation and training, so as to provide her clients with the highest quality training available. Her desire to learn, combined with her experience as a life-long athlete and her understanding of how the body works in sport as well as in everyday life, has prepared Jessica to work with clients from every background. As a coach with experience in sports psychology, Jessica strives to not only improve the physical well-being of her athletes, but their mental well-being as well. She believes a self-confident, mentally strong athlete is a complete athlete. Jessica wants nothing more than for her athletes to walk out of their training sessions energized, confident, and ready to take on their competition no matter what that entails.

Pizza. I’m Italian and there would be major repercussions for me not choosing an Italian staple. Think a horse’s head in my bed.

Embarrassing Moment:
It occurred in the Texas Athletics Facility. It involved a treadmill, and it involved me flying off the back. It was an involved situation.
