Your Success

I was frustrated after my first son was born. I had the child that I always wanted, but the fall I took prior to delivery required surgery. Even after the surgery, I could not lift my new son for three months. I just wanted to do all the activities that I dreamed of doing as first time-parent. My doctors prescribed physical therapy and an assortment of other treatments, without success. I came to Train 4 The Game with hopes of some kinds of relief from the pain. I trained with Tim Skwiat. After Training for only 12 sessions, I literally felt like I had a new back. I had my life back. I could lift my son up without thinking twice about whether or not I would hurt myself again. Recently, I had my second son and am thankful that I am strong and fit enough to completely enjoy all the activities that we can share. Thanks T4TG and Thanks to my awesome trainer, Tim Skwiat

Tom came to Train 4 The Game with a career of great success under his belt. However, he also brought with him some severe aches and pains. Through our thorough performance evaluation and the valuable input of Tom and several golf pros, we have been able to identify and attack Tom’s limiting factors in training. If these aches and pains weren’t attended to immediately, not only would Tom not be experiencing the tremendous success he still enjoys today, but he may have very well been forced to end his career prematurely and quit playing the game he loves. Tom’s dedication to his ongoing training program allowed him to maximize his potential and be a key player in his outstanding success. Tom himself states, "I'm hitting the ball better and further than ever before. The advantages are obvious - I'm hitting less club into greens and reaching more par 5's in two. Train 4 The Game's golf-swing oriented off-season program gives me a huge advantage."

Train 4 The Game has been instrumental to my development as a pitcher. My workouts are expertly designed with both my sport and body in mind. We discuss how the body functions during my workouts, and this new found understanding helps me stay healthy and functional throughout the course of the season. In my mind, Train 4 The Game’s functional methodology is the future of training in competitive athletics.

I first came to Train 4 The Game for a little extra mobility and core training. Almost immediately, I started feeling more flexible and stronger. More importantly, I felt like the work I did at T4TG bridged the gap between the gym and the pool. Each exercise my trainer has me do is specifically related to a movement or ability I need as a swimmer. The result... I’ve posted numerous personal bests this year, shaved seconds off even my best times, and am improving faster than ever before. When the NCAA comes knocking, I’ll be ready. Thanks T4TG!

As an avid exerciser, I first came to Train 4 The Game with a skeptical eye. Could I really improve my fitness by doing the lunge matrix one hundred different ways? How was gaining more balance on a single leg going help my running improve? Was I ever going to leave this place breathing hard and pouring sweat? After my first real session, I got my answers to these, and many other questions. Every part of my body moved in ways I didn’t know were possible. I went through three bottles of water in one hour in an air-conditioned gym! I’m not even going to talk about how much “fun” it was to try and squat down to pick up my daughter’s toys the next day. I’m an exercise junkie. I love feeling the burn. I feel my best when I’m challenging my body physically. I’ve never done the same workout twice while at T4TG, and I’ve been going there for well over a year. I feel like my fitness, health, and overall well-being have improved steadily since that first workout. T4TG gives me everything I want: a challenging, fun, energetic, well thought out, and personalized workout regimen. I’ve lost weight, gained strength and endurance, and improved my confidence. I’ve done all the hard work, but T4TG has given me the tools to reach, and surpass, many of my goals.

As parents, we always want to put our children in the best position possible to reach their goals. My son, Trey, had the goal to play at College basketball’s highest level since he was a young kid. My challenge was to get him on that road the best way I knew how, but my limited knowledge of what it took to reach that goal was a hindrance from doing so. There are about 330 Division One basketball teams that play at College Basketball’s highest level, each of which usually awarding three scholarships each year. In other words, only about 1,000 kids receive one of these annually and schools do not just hand these out to anyone. With the help of Train for the Game, and especially Jessica Vaiana, who took him on as a project and went the extra mile to work with him, Trey has gotten both mentally and physically stronger and has gained the confidence in himself that he was missing and is required of a D1 athlete. So much in fact, that I can say without any hesitation that if not from the training and attention that T4TG has given, Trey’s goals would most likely have not been achieved. I am proud to say that because of what Jessica and T4TG has done, Trey will be playing D1 basketball next year, as he now has multiple scholarships offers to choose from.

I have been training under the vision and programs of Train 4 The Game for more than twelve years. As a professional athlete, I have come to understand just how important strength and conditioning are to my performance level. It doesn’t matter whether you are training for basketball, baseball, or tennis; this program has the ability to design itself around the specifics of your sport. Each trainer has studied the different sport movements and patterns, and strives to perfect each particular athlete’s ability. I have been trained by more than a dozen professional trainers around the world, and I can honestly say that the program designed by Train 4 The Game is the best that I have ever seen. This program has not only completely changed my body, but, at the age of 31, has allowed me to retain my speed and agility, and strengthened my movement patterns on the basketball court. Each training exercise is specific to my actions on the court and has helped to bring power and stability to every individual move. This also helps to prevent injury because my body is now familiar with the different contortions that it goes through during the course of a game. Thank you Train 4 The Game for bringing out the super athlete from within, and taking my game to the next level.

Seven months ago, I decided to change my lifestyle and get into shape. While this change had many facets, Train 4 The Game has been an integral part of my transformation. T4TG has an inspiring group of trainers that are as motivating as they are knowledgeable. They know just what to do to prevent injuries from hindering my progress and provide a level of service that is unmatched in the field. Seven months ago, I couldn’t make it through half of one of my current workouts. Today I have fewer aches and pains, have more energy to play with my kids, and am in the best shape I’ve been in years.

Train 4 the Game introduced me to training that focused on maximizing both my individual athleticism and health. What impressed me most about T4TG was that right off the bat not only were my past injuries addressed, but so were the underlying causes of those injuries. Before T4TG, like most people, I had only treated the symptoms of my injury like the pain in my shoulder or in my low back, but I had never focused on the source of it. From that point on, my workouts incorporated elements that challenged me to strengthen those areas of my body that had contributed to my injuries. Once I had a healthier foundation, I was able to train harder than ever before. In short, the trainers at T4TG understood that my body was not the same as the next baseball player’s, and it therefore had to be trained differently to maximize my ability.
