I need to get in shape before I start T4TG

This is something that we hear with some regularity, whether a new client is coming in for an evaluation or whether we’re out in public talking about Train 4 The Game to prospective clients. As a matter of fact, a gentleman, who appeared to be in pretty good shape and wearing workout clothes, mentioned this to me the other day at the store.

To hear that someone feels like they need to be “in shape” (I don’t even know what that means, by the way) to start working out with us is certainly a compliment to us in some regard. I mean, these prospective clients have the idea that they need to have some foundation of conditioning -- either that, or they are offering an excuse (i.e., fear of failure) that needs a little more examination.

But, that’s one of the really cool things about Train 4 The Game. We take every athlete that walks through our doors through an evaluation that tells us exactly where they are at in their lives. This snapshot in the beginning of your T4TG “life” gives us a clear picture of your current level of fitness, injury history, movement capabilities, goals, etc.

With this knowledge under our belts, we have all that we need to get you started on your own specific training program that is geared to produce success for you. By training in an environment for success, you will progressively train movements and movement patterns that will produce a stronger, more in shape you. You’ll have the opportunity to challenge your boundaries and move beyond them, redefining you.

If you’re not “in shape” according to your definition, we’ll get you “in shape” and beyond. If you’re already in “good” shape, we’ll make you better. If you’re already in great shape and “know what you’re doing,” we’ll challenge you to get in the best shape of your life.
